Do you create custom portraits?
Yes! I have recently started offering pet portrait commissions. At the moment, I am focusing solely on pets and not accepting family portrait requests. This allows me to refine my techniques, ensuring that when I offer people portraits again, I can deliver the highest possible quality. I find the commission process incredibly rewarding and look forward to expanding my offerings in the future.
How long does a drawing take?
Each portrait takes between 6 to 15 hours, depending on the size, level of detail, and complexity. More intricate pieces will naturally take longer, but I dedicate the necessary time to ensure every artwork is of the highest standard.
Why don’t you include backgrounds?
I prefer to let the natural texture of the paper enhance the subject, offering a clean and sophisticated aesthetic. However, I am open to discussing solid colour backgrounds on a case-by-case basis if it complements the composition. Although backgrounds are not a regular feature in my work, I may explore them more in the future.
How often do you ship?
Once an order is placed, I package the artwork with care and ship it within 24 hours, provided the following day is a business day. Each piece is securely packed to ensure it arrives in perfect condition.
How long will my print order take?
For orders within Australia, shipping typically takes between 2-7 business days. International orders usually arrive within 7-14 business days, depending on the destination. I always aim to have your artwork delivered as quickly as possible.
What materials do you use?
- Coloured Pencil: I use Faber Castell Polychromos on a range of papers, including cartridge paper, Bristol board, and Clairefontaine paper.
- Pastels: My pastel works feature Faber Castell Pitt pencils, Pan Pastels, and Rembrandt soft pastels on Clairefontaine Pastelmat Paper.
- Black and White: For black-and-white portraits, I primarily work in graphite or charcoal on cartridge paper.
